CENTENNIAL events are underway!

Centennial events are underway.  See the ad in the Oconto County Discovery Guide available at the town hall and at businesses all over the county.

The town kicked off its celebration on March 8th with a presentation from State Representitive Jeff Murseau and an ice cream social.  The official centennial medallion was unveiled.  ONLY 300 of these medallions will be available for purchase for $15 each.  Each coin has a unique serial number.  Get yours early to get the coin number you want!

March 14th, 2022, 6 pm at town hall – first “lunch and learn” event – learn more about the towns history than what will be published in our book.  Get answers to the trivia contest questions.  Get coupons for reduced prices on centennial branded items.  These sessions will cover bits of history that didnt make it into the history book as well as many pictures and maps we couldnt clear copyrights for, but can use in an educational setting.  We will also dig deeper into certain events and discuss how we found everything.  March: 1900 to 1933ish, April: 1930’s – 1960’s, May: late 1960’s – 1990’s and June: 1996 – now.  We may have special guests at some of the sessions, including past residents and long time residents.  Come with questions and answers.  Historical items will be on display with most available to look through.

T-shirts in stock now.  S/M/L/XL/XXL.  Earlybird price of $20 through end of June.  Available at the town hall during normal business hours and at special events throughout the year.
