The forest service is reopening their boat landings on Friday May 1st.  The town will also reopen the Star Lake landings as well on Friday.  Several forest service sites will remain closed (campgrounds, Mountain Fire Tower and some motorized trails).  Please see the forest service website for the most up to date FS status.  The town is monitoring water levels at the Bass Lake boat landing.  Water level is at the edge of the paved turn-around.  While the landing is currently open, should water level rise above the road service, the landing may be closed for safety.
