Storm recovery continues.  All town roads are now passable with the exception of some gravel forest roads and places where wires are down.  We will continue to improve passage through this weekend and are working to hire contractors to remove debris from the right of way.  Please avoid areas where we are removing debris for everybodies safety.

WPS has started to restore power.  Stay 25 feet from power lines, they may become energized at anytime.

Residents can continue to take brush to the Riverview site.  The town is currently unable to take debris generated by contractors.

The town hall is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner through Friday.  We will evaluate the need, based on power restoration if we continue past then.  Water, ice, non-perishable foods and showers are also available.  7am – 6pm.

Temperatures this weekend are expected to be in the upper 80’s with high humidity.  Be careful working outside and take frequent breaks and drink plenty of water.  The town hall is back on utility power and air conditioning is running.

Most campgrounds, forest sites (including the lookout tower) and all ATV trails are closed.  All lakes in Doty are currently slow – no – wake.  This is for safety.
